Our Journey

Founded in 2021, Townhall was born from a simple but powerful idea from our Founder & CEO, Venky: as the world rapidly shifted to virtual events, why not reimagine a platform that works equally well for in-person, virtual, and hybrid audiences? A true end-to-end event operating system. Backed by BookMyShow, top Indian angels like Haresh Chawla, Kunal Shah etc. and built by a passionate team in Hyderabad and Pune, we set out to solve the fragmentation and complexity in event technology. Today, Townhall has grown into a trusted platform for global brands like Salesforce, CNBC, Moneycontrol, Kirloskar, ComicCon, and many others.

Since then, we’ve powered thousands of events—of every format, size, and sophistication—and continue to push the boundaries of what hybrid event technology can do.
